Hey Hey I Want To Be A Rockstar

The picture place we go to was having a special event last weekend. They were rock star pictures. Just up E's alley. She loves to sing and dance and prance around the house. So we signed up and and I even talked her into letting me curl her hair. I even let her wear some glittery make up. She had a ball. Here are some of the results. It is always hard to choose just one but this time I had to.









I ended up choosing the first one. She is such a ham. While we were there she wanted to know why they didn't have a big picture of her on the wall. I told her if she wanted to be in big pictures on walls then she would have to let people do her hair. After that she pretty much decided being on the wall was overrated.

She is Five

The birthday month is almost over. I still sometimes can't believe that I have a five year old. Time goes by so fast. Everyone should be very proud of me. Not a single tear was shed. I almost broke down when I bought her card but during the actual festivities I actually enjoyed myself.

On her actual birthday we just had the three of us and we opened her presents and took her to apple*bees. Her favorite restaurant.





What you don't open your presents with a plumbers smile and your tongue sticking out? Let me tell you we know how to party at our house.

We had her party on Saturday after the big day. Everyone we invited showed up. The only people missing were Aunt Becky and Alex and Austin. But we really couldn't expect them to fly home for that. After much deliberation we settled on My Little P*ony for the theme this year.

Happy Fifth Birthday my princess. Mommy loves you more than you will ever know. I can only hope that as the years go by you won't forget how much I do. I will do everything in my power to make sure you don't.

I really need to start blogging again. Life has been pretty hectic between work and home. Plus I feel like I have some winter blues. Maybe next week.

She makes a..... Brick House

Last weekend E and I did the annual gingerbread house crap. I bought a different kind of kit this year. The house was already put together all we had to do was decorate.



My job was the icing and her job was the rest of the crap on it. Boy that icing was yucky. I had to mix the powder with water to form some kind of concrete like paste. It got hard very fast. But it was yummy. Then the bag they wanted you to put it in didn't work right so I had to use baggies. It was a gigantic mess.



Most of the icing would get hard before she would get to put pretties on it so I would have to slather more on it for her. All in all it turned out nice and we had fun so that is all that matters. Except now she doesn't want to get rid of it. I had a hard time finding something to put it in. I think when the trash comes next week it might magically disappear, or better yet I can tell her that Santa wanted to take it with him.
