Baking

There is just something about the holidays that makes me want to bake. I don't know if I want to recreate the memories of growing up and always making cookies with my mom or that I really like to eat the goodies. But baking time has begun.

Last Saturday we went to my moms house to help her make xmas cookies. It was fun, but I forgot my camera. Then on Sunday I made all kinds of different treats for goodie trays.

I think that E is going to inherit my fondness of cooking. She always has to be in the kitchen with me helping me. Most of the time I let her. She loves to crack the eggs and stir up the stuff. And of course put on the sprinkles.

I bought a gingerbread house kit and let her do that a couple weekends ago. I had never done one either so it was a first experience for both of us and I think it really turned out pretty good.

In one month

In exactly one month my baby will be four. Its so hard for me to imagine that. It seems like just yesterday she was a little baby in my arms. Its so much fun to see her grow and become a little lady too though. She has her own personality and thought and dreams. It makes me so happy to see her smile and say 'I love you mommy'.

She wants to have a mermaid party for her birthday so last week we went shopping and picked out the little mermaid plates and cups and decorations for her party. I only hope that I can somehow manage to make her a mermaid cake.

She is the absolute best thing that has ever happened to me and I look forward to so many birthdays and watching her grow up to be a beautiful confident woman.
