The First Movie

On Saturday D decided to go play in an all day softball tournament. So instead of going shopping like I usually do I decided to save some money and do something fun with my baby.

I decided to break down and take her to the movies. I was a little bit apprehensive about it, I really didn't think she was old enough. But it was really hot so I didn't want to do anything outside.

We went to see Shrek 3. It was really cute but OMG it has been ages since i have been to the movies, probably like five years, it is SOOOOO expensive. We went to the "cheap" show and it was still 12.50 for both of us to get in.

She was good for about the first 45 minutes of it and then she was ready to leave. I however was not about to leave after I just spent that much money so I bribed her with some popcorn. And again I was about to die, for a small popcorn and a bottle of water it was 7.75. That is just crazy. But she lasted through almost the rest of the movie so I guess maybe it was worth it.

Will I be taking her again???? Probably not any time soon. I still think she is a bit too young to stay focused on that for so long. She really doesn't even sit and watch a movie at home like that.

But it was definately and experience and I did get to see a movie before it comes out on DVD for once.

Try taking 4 kids and 2 grownups. OUCH. We love the dollar movies for a reason. Also you need to learn about 'the big purse'. That is what you take to the movies filled with popcorn you made at home, water or juice, candy, hell, even tacos or McD's. (I am so not kidding) GO BIG PURSE!!!

The last time we went to the movies we snuck in Jack N the Box and the people next to us I swear had KFC family packs. :P

Oh yay i'm glad you were able to make it through the whole movie with Emma! I still haven't tried Maggie just because she doesn't sit still very long.
