Money

Most of the time I am very happy about where D and I are financially. We don't go without and neither do the kids. If we want something we usually go out and buy it. If it is a big ticket item we usually save up for it. We both love our jobs so that makes things a little easier too.

But all of this house hunting I have been doing has me wishing that we had more money so we could afford a huge house with a lot of land for the kids to pay on. D wants at least 5 acres. And I think "ok I can find something" and I can but do I really want to give up the lifestyle we have grown accustumed to?? I think that I can. I bring lunch to work everyday. I don't make unneccesary trips in the car to waste gas.

But I love to shop. Its definately my downfall. I also love to buy lots of things for the kids. Lots of things. I know that we can afford to buy a nice house with some land and I will have to give up a few things. But darn it why can't I grow a money tree????

I have come to believe the answer is simple Court..... Because if it did grow on trees, you(we) wouldn't think about taking a lunch or saving gas in the first place ;) I often think of the world if everyone had plenty of money and logically it stands to reason, appreciation and hardwork would fly out the window.

But I still think you should get your big house on a big lot ;)

Hey Court! So good to see you blogging again. Well (blushing) i haven't been on to check in like forever either! ;)
Money, owning a nice sized house, etc. is a vicious thing. Yeah it seems like it's one or the other.
Such a hard choice when you are used to be able to have the things you enjoy and knowing you'll have to give up something. :(
We ended up putting our money into the house (1 income) and it sucks. Mostly b/c i LOVE to spend, and with 8 kids how can you not? LOL
Here's hoping that you can find a happy middle or a fantasic deal on a house that you are looking for and love!! :D
HUGS!

I totally think the space is good, but don't break yourself for a house. Keep loking, something you love will find you. I am sure. I am so glad you are blogging again. :X
