Princess Fun

Over the weekend we ventured to our very first ice show. I loved, loved, loved it. We went to Disney Princesses on Ice. E loved it too. We have second row on the floor so we were right up in the action. They had scenes from Aladdin, Mulan, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Mermaid and Cinderella. Plus Tinkerbell was there along with Goofy and Mickey and Minnie Mouse. I never got to do stuff like that when I was growing up so it was just as exciting for me to be there as E. In fact I think I liked it better than her. Unfortunately D was not happy about going. He missed the KU game. But luckily I have a good friend that texted me the scores throughout the show so at least he kind of knew what was going on. Here are a couple pics. E in her outfit she wore. Shoe Wh@re

Why haven't I ever owned a pair of red, peep toe high heeled shoes? Can someone please answer that question for me. I am sooo in love with a pair of shoes. I just had to wear them out on Saturday night and I am looking forward to wearing them to work this week. It's amazing how one pair of sexy sassy shoes can change your mood and make you feel sexy and sassy too.

Its been a long time since I had a pair of sexy new shoes, probably before I got pregnant and E is four now so you can do the math. But she is old enough now that I can wear really high heels and not worry about having to carry her around. High Heels oh how I have missed you.

Exercise and Random Updates

FINALLY, I finally lost some weight. Its about damn time. I can also tell a difference in my body. Yippee I am soooooo excited. I am still trying to eat healthy and exercise at least five times a week. I have still been doing an hour on the treadmill at night which is around 3.5-3.75 miles depending on how fast I want to walk/run. I have been reading while I am on the treadmill. It helps the time go by so much faster. But it is getting expensive.

I have borrowed a few books from friends though which is nice. My friend in TX sent me home with a really good book. I absolutely loved it. It is called The Birth House and it is about midwives in the early 1900's. Right now I am reading a book called The Doctor's Wife. It is okay. I am having a hard time getting into it though.

Tomorrow is the hub's bday. He doesn't want to do anything for it though and I got invited to a wedding with a friend on Saturday night. He probably just wants to spend his weekend watching the Big 12 tournament. Don't get me wrong I do like to watch sports but after awhile I can do without. So hopefully the weather will be nice and I can wear a pretty dress out for the wedding.

I bought myself a couple new CD's today at T@rget while shopping for a bday present. Bon Jovi's CrossRoad. Totally love the 80's hair bands. I was such child from the 80's. I also got Snoop's latest CD to check out. I have very diverse taste in music. But the picture of today has to do with the 80's. Me in all of my big hair glory. I am on the right and my BFF is on the left. If you will notice she is also in the pics from the road trip.



Yes have I mentioned how horrible I am at keeping my eyes open for pictures. But come on really don't I look so f'n hot.

A few random vacation pics

Here is our scenic view frm Oklahome, we acutally pulled over at a sign that said scenic view. Hmmmm I guess it might be scenic in a couple of months.

We decided we didn't want a picture in front of the welcome to Texas sign since it advertised it is the home state of our current Pr*sident, and we passed Oklahoma's welcome sign at like midnight.

This pic is from a gas station just across the Texas state line. We happened to be at the same place as these Oklahoma cops that were going to Dallas, they so graciously let us get our pic taken with them


I got to see one of my good friends but I think she is the only one that got a pic of that. Plus I got to meet some great people that I work with but i don't want to randomly put their pics on the internet without permission. We partied in Austin on Friday night here are two pics from then



Can I just say that I am really not high in any of my pictures, I just suck at keeping my eyes open for the flash. I can't tell you how many we had to take over cause my eyes were closed. Then here is Saturday night in Ft. Worth


We had a great trip and S can't wait to go down there again since we did not get to party in Dallas like orginally planned. Maybe this fall we can go and just spend time there. Definately would be a shorter drive.

Back at it Monday

I am back from the humid dry air that is Texas. I had a wonderful time on my road trip. I had two of my bestest friends with me. We partied, shopped and all together had a good time. We left late Thursday night and made it about halfway before we decided to stop for the night. Had about 4 hours of sleep then started driving the rest of the way.

I got to meet some new people and see an old friend. I also got to bar hop in two different cities. We also got to see some nudity. What more can you ask for in a girls only road trip????

Unfortunately all of the fun had to come to an end and we had to come home yesterday. Long day on the road but we made it back in one piece even with the horrible storms. The only bummer was that I didn't ever get out my camera so I will have to get pics from the other girls.

I am sooo ready to go again though.
